In SMAN 5, each class is allocated 135 minutes. Although this is quite a long period, effective time management is still essential to ensure that all target activities and objectives are achieved. With this in mind, I make it a point to set time limits for each section of the lesson, from greetings to closing. This approach helps me stay on track and ensures that I don't exceed the allotted time, allowing for a smooth flow and timely completion of all planned activities. Additionally, I regularly monitor the time throughout the lesson and make adjustments if necessary to maintain a balanced pace, ensuring that each part of the lesson receives the attention it requires without feeling rushed. This strategy also helps me keep the students engaged and ensures that no crucial components of the lesson are left out.
